Since March of 2022, 616 SUD Services, LLC is committed to providing effective bilingual substance abuse counseling services in English and Spanish.
616 SUDS is a State of Michigan substance abuse and mental health counseling agency. Our team of experienced certified and licensed professionals are ready to serve employers, attorneys, courts, and self-referred clients throughout Michigan.
Mario I. Ledesma, MS, CADC, CCJP, SAP, CAMS II Clinician, Owner
Mario is a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC), Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP), Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), and Certified Anger Management Specialist II (CAMS II) with 12 years’ experience working in the criminal justice system as a State of Michigan District Court Probation Officer. His experience in criminal justice provides a unique perspective to counseling services by assisting clients in navigating the complexities of governmental agencies and legal difficulties.
Mario enjoys working with individuals, groups, and criminal justice-involved clients in their life transitions. His areas of expertise include substance abuse, theft awareness, anger management, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior, and evidence-based practices.
Mario’s passion is to help clients work through difficulties by working on identifying strengths and offering understanding and support along the way. He believes in assisting people to achieve the proper perspective about themselves and their value, despite life’s uncertainties.
Mario earned his Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and Master’s in Criminal Justice Administration from Ferris State University.
Danielle Strouse, BS, CCJP
Danielle has worked in the court system for over 20 years. Her position within 616 Suds is an Assessor, which started August 2022. For hobbies, Danielle loves to read and craft but she mostly spends time with her husband and kids. Danielle has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Wayne State University. In college she was part of the National Collegiate Society of Scholars and Delta Zeta sorority and graduated on the dean’s list. Danielle obtained the following: In 2008, she obtained my FAODP (Fundamentals of Alcohol and Other Drug Programs) and in 2011, she obtained my CCJP (Certified Criminal Justice Professional) certification.
Danielle went into this field because she believes that people deserve a second chance and addiction is a disease that has unfairly been treated as a taboo topic. She sated the following “I believe that recovery is possible if people are willing to put in the work”.
Monica Johnson LMSW
I am a licensed bilingual clinical social worker with extensive experience working with an array of mental health concerns. For the last 20 plus years, I have provided therapy services to adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma. My theoretical orientation is person centered, and I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and Mindfulness based approaches. As a Latina woman, I have concentrated on serving the Latino community in order to increase access to quality mental health services. I am familiar with cultural factors that impact the mental health of the Latino community and for the last 10 years, I facilitated a women’s support group for domestic violence. I am passionate about women’s issues and have extensive training in trauma and its impact on individuals and families. I enjoy connecting with clients on a personal level and those who know me well, know I enjoy a good laugh. I am a mother of three boys and enjoy spending time with my family and three dogs.
